AMD’s new laptop APU nearly twice as fast as Steam Deck in leaked graphics benchmark

The primary benchmarks purporting to disclose the graphics efficiency of AMD’s newest laptop computer APU have surfaced. Codenamed Phoenix and branded Ryzen 7040 series (opens in new tab), the chip’s 780M graphics core makes use of RDNA graphics tech and returns efficiency roughly 25% quicker than the previous 680M graphics within the Ryzen 6000 APU and almost twice as fast because the Steam Deck’s AMD graphics.
